Luis A. Escobar, age 86, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Legacy at Savannah Quarters.
Luis was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico. He lived in Orlando for many years before moving to Savannah in 2015. He was U.S. Marine Corps veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years. After retirement from the postal service, he went to work for Disney World, where he worked for 12 years.
“Papy” as everyone knew him at Legacy, always had a smile on his face. He was a compassionate and friendly man. He enjoyed gardening, painting and cooking. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Luis was preceded in death by his wife, Esther and son, Cesar.
He is survived by his daughters, Kenia, Esther, and Zoraida; a son, Luis, Jr.; a sister, Olga; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
No services will be held.
