Luis V. Ramos, 66, of Hartford, CT beloved husband of Evelyn (Martinez) Ramos passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital. Luis was born in Guayama, PR, the son of the late Juan Ramos and Maria Lugo Moret.


He was the first to graduate college in his family and was deeply involved in the athletics department at Hartford Public High School. He was known for his generosity and caring spirit because of the way he took care of his community. Luis loved music, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.


Luis is survived by his wife Evelyn Ramos, Sons: Luis Ramos III and Miguel Santiago, Daughters: Christina Santiago and Shai Ramos. Luis is survived by his siblings Aida Ramos, Efrain Ramos, Juan Ramos, Guillermo Malave, Hector Malave, Rolando Lugo, Lucy Lugo and Janet Lugo. He also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews: Pete Franco, Jocelyn Franco and Diana Ramos to name a few.  


A Celebration of Luis’ life will be held Monday August 7, 2023. Calling hours will be held from 5pm to 8pm at the Dillion-Baxter Funeral Home on 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. To share a memory of Luis, please visit www.dillonbaxter.com
