To some, he was Luis. To some , I am Lewis. But to each other we were friend, colleague, brothers before the Bar and at times . . . a confidante with whom we could discuss a sensitive "legal or what do you think or might do" question or strategy. On a few occasions when we came to court but had to stay during the Noon break, we were luncheon buddies. I recall meeting Luis on our first day of Law School some 53 years ago and our friendship continued through our 3 years of Law School, the Bar Exam, our Bar admission and beyond. With Rich Merklinger, we formed a study group in Law School and helped each other throughout our three years, right through the Bar Review and Bar exam in the Summer of 1975 and into our practices. Most recently, we had the opportunity to get together in May 2025 for the Law School graduation and our 50th Anniversary...
