Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Luke's passing about two days ago... I'll miss him dearly. I originally met Luke when I was in 8th grade. It was my first year in Marching band at Hudsonville, for the first year he and I had very minimal conversations, but they were still interactions that made my day. My freshman year of high school he and I started to talk more and more. He was one of those people I could always count on to make me feel better when I had a really horrible day. So very sorry to hear of your son's passing. My daughter knew him from Harvard Outing Club and was very saddened to hear about his death. Sending condolences to all of you and hoping his spirit lives on in your hearts. Donation made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in his name.

I am so sorry for your loss. I don't know what else to say.

Mrs Van Antwerp: Please accept my deepest condolences on this horrible loss that you have suffered. Although we have never met, I suffered the same loss fifteen years ago - my son and only child. My heart is breaking for you and I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and my prayers. May God Bless you in the days and weeks to come. Judy Oleneack

From all his father's friends here in Germany, we send our condolences to the entire Balstad family.

Luke "likes the beach a lot" and "AllTrails wizard" Balstad, you will be missed. If you're feeling sad, talk to a friend, take a walk, and volunteer, in honor of Luke.

Reading this made me cry, What a beautiful message to "tell all of those around you how much you love them, search deep to love exactly who you are, and with every ounce of what you have, be kind and take care of others"

Single Memorial Tree

He helped me through one of the toughest times of my life, and I am forever grateful that I had the privilege of meeting the sunshine that is Luke Balstad. This year, we flew to campus together--purely by coincidence, we met at the Baltimore airport and talked for the entirety of the three hours about the deepest, most impactful topics. I'm eternally grateful that I...
