Lula Grant Obituary
Lula Mae Grant, 85, of Brunswick, died Monday at Emory Decatur Hospital, in Decatur.
The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 4 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1270 Cate Road, in Brunswick.
Floral Hills Funeral Home Cremation Services, in Tucker, is in charge of the arrangements.

"Mother" is what I called her; although she was not my biological mother. Angela an I have been sister/ best friends for 39 years. Mother was always so kind to me . She always had a witiness about her that's uniquely Lula. I hadn't seen her since she moved away. Whenever Angela and I would have our phone calls she'd be in the background giving a shout with love. I loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.

Aunt Lula. The last time we spoke I was visiting you at Hariett's house. I was so glad that you knew who I was and we shared our laughs together just like old times when I would visit you on Shangri LA. Everytime you opened that door we all knew you were going to have a big smile on your face and say "Wellll Heyyy"! And then comes the big hug. You were always a joy to see and your love flowed so effortlessly to all of your family. Take your Auntie and tell all the crew that we miss and love them always. Love you forever. My aunt Lula, wow where do I begin. I begin by saying that I love you and so thankful for the times that we shared together. You always called me your Boy and I always looked forward to the times that I visited with you. You are my aunt but in my heart you will always be mom. I pray that God will bless your children and their children and I pray that God will keep his strong arms of protection around you'll. Rest my lady until we see each other again on one of these getting up mornings. Tears has been shed from my eyes but love and joy in my heart will always beat for you. I love you. Your Boy Shelton!!!

I truly love and will miss my ex mother-in-law she was truly a genuine person. She was always so kind and sweet to me from the very first time I met her up until the last time I saw her. Ms.Lula Mae was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with. Rest in peace Mama I love you and you will be truly missed.
