Arthur, Mary and Felicia -- We are so sorry for your loss. I graduated with Bootsie in 1960 and always looked upon her as a loving and giving person. She was always so much fun to be around and I can still see her in her Boosterette uniform. I did get to see her again earlier this year at our class luncheon in Mandeville. Shortly thereafter I heard she was ill. We know now that she is in a much better place. Our hearts go out to all of you and her daughters. ...

Gretchen,
We are so sorry about your mom. We hope you are doing well.

During this most trying of times I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Short family: Mrs. and Mrs. Short, Kathleen, Eric, Chris, and Sally. Brother and Mary Kulp and their children and especially to Dagney, Gretchen and Margaretha Bell.
Bootsie was a rare and exceptional woman who I have never forgotton.
From a distance I grieve with you all and you are in my prayers.
With enduring affections

Gretchen and Margaretha, My deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your mother. She and I were La Leche League leaders together and I remember especially working on the state convention in New Orleans with her. I believe she was the chairman, and she did a marvelous job. But first and foremost she loved being a mother and took such great joy in the two of you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gretchen and Margaretha, My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your mother. She and I first met when she was pregnant with Gretchen and I was the leader of the La Leche League group she attended. When she later became a leader herself, we worked together for some time until I retired from the group.

I was not surprised to read that she devoted her last years to helping Katrina victims. She had such a warm heart and love for her fellow humans. Most of all, I remember how proud...

My thoughts are with you girls

She was my girl friend in third grade, though she never knew it...... Bootsey has lived in my heart ever since.
