Lupe M. Vigil

Lupe M. Vigil, 85, of Loveland went with his savior peacefully on January 3, 2011. He was born on May 14, 1925 in Worland, WY to Joe and Mary Vigil. He married Wanda Hutchings on January 8, 1946 in Greeley. They lived in Greeley, Eaton and Ault before moving to Loveland in 1960. Lupe received his GED in 1965 and in May 2008 he had the honor of graduating from Ault High School and received his honorary diploma. He was a life member of the American Legion, DAV and the VFW. Lupe enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, people and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Vigil of Loveland, CO; son, Gary Vigil and wife Vicki of Fairplay, CO; daughter, Wanda Jo DeSart and husband Richard of Lake City, IA; brother, Sam Vigil of Junction City, KS; sisters, Ida Valencia of Pecos, NM, Josie Brito of Denver, CO, Julia Patterson of San Diego, CA, Francis Calmeron of Commerce City, CO, Mary Lee Vigil of Brighton, CO; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Lupe was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lori Vigil on August 4, 2009; brothers, Tom, Jerry and Joe; sister, Corinna. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 10 at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland. The funeral service is at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 11 at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland. Interment at Loveland Burial Park.
