Luther Melvin Barron

Luther Melvin Barron, 73 of Marshall, VA died Dec. 29, 2004 at the Fauquier Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1931 at Orlean a son of the late Luther Milton Barron and Gracie Gertrude Wince Barron. He served in the US Army from 1952 until 1954. He then worked for 27 years for the Sanders Quarry/Vulcan Materials as a Driller and Explosives Technician until his retirement. He was a member of Hume Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife- Frances Barron; two daughters- Cindy Barron, Front Royal and Ruby Collins of Luray, Va; three sons- Tony Barron of Orlean, Randy Barron and Timothy Barron both of Marshall; two sisters- Nancy Allman of Orlean and Cornelia Herbert of Warrenton; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Saturday at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, where funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Don McKinney will officiate.
