LUTHER LEON GARDNER

Funeral services for Mr. Luther Leon Gardner will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Zenoria Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Jena.
The family asks that visitation be observed on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5pm until service time on Thursday at the church.

Mr. Gardner, 82, of Trout was born on June 15, 1932 in Forest, MS and passed from this life on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Veterans Medical Center in Pineville. He was a retired police officer.

Those left to cherish his memory include, wife, Mary Ruth DeVaux Gardner of Trout; daughters, Caroline Lewis and husband Jack of Georgetown, Elizabeth and husband and Gloria and husband both of Corpus Christi, TX; sons, David Hearon and wife Angela of Shreveport, Edward Hearon and wife Nicole of Trout and Manuel Gardner of Gulfport, MS; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Hall Gardner; daughter, Erma Gardner; sisters, Levern Skinner and Wyvonne Briscoe; brother, Billy Gardner.

Pallbearers will be Ed Hearon, David Hearon, Jack Lewis, Jarod Newton, Dalton Hearon and Luther Fisher.
Honorary pallbearers will be Great Grandsons.
