Not sure what to say?

My name is Robert Jones but I was known to everyone as Bobby Jones. I used to listen to Luther all the time while I was growing up. I also graduated from Central High in the early 50's and joined the Army soon after graduation. I took basic training at Camp Gordon Georgia. I was shipped out to Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri shortly after but I remember on morning as I was getting ready for the days training I turned on my radio and there was Luther on WDEF all the way from Chattanooga. I remember...

I was in first grade at Jefferson Street Elementary School in 1955. Mr. Masingill came to the school at lunchtime with a TV crew and led the students and teachers in prayer. I never forgot that.

My name is Creighton Coffey, Baby Son of Nolan David Coffey President of
Auto Electric Magneto Inc. Luther had his White Ford Truck repaired at my Father's business. He knew people in the business and trusted our work.Luther had mannerisms that my Father used as well. My Father and Luther did familiarizing features too. When I think of Luther, I remember my dad as well. My Father born 1918 died at age 93. A missed blessed soul to both of you. May God bless.

Luther, what a loving ,giving caring Statesman. I had the pleasure of knowing you for many years and enjoyed your laughter and your direction for Life with our Lord Jesus Christ. To Mary his loving caring wife with a warmth and loving and full of kind words, we pray for you and the family during these tough times ,but know you will continue on as God gives each one of you Strength . Luther was such a good Friend. to me and my whole Family. In Christ Ron, Sonya and Sean Devine

May you rest with the lord and savior you will be missed and never forgotten. You were an angel on earth, and now in heaven.

I am so heartbroken and saddened by this wondeful sweet soul, you we're our hometown hero/friend and you will be teribly missed. My deepest prayers go out to his wife Mary and his children and grandchildren and his extended family. I have watched Luther since i was a kid and now i'm 36 yrs old. May you rest with the angels .

I have listened to Luther for 50+ plus years. I never met him in person but still feel a loss. I have learned more about him since he passed than I knew in his life. Luther was radio and Chattanooga! He touched so many lives and will be missed by family, coworkers, friends and listeners. If asked to describe Luther I would say 'Luther was a true Southern Gentleman.' The family is in my prayers at this time. May God be with all of you and comfort you.

Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are extended to Mary and the rest of Luther's family. We are heartbroken but have remembered numerous memories he has left with us. Precious memories, funny memories, advice memories. He will not be forgotten. God bless his family and give them peace.
