Today is the funeral of my most precious Sunday school student, Lydia Byrd. While I was in silent denial, Lydia would smile at me with those big sparkling eyes. Yes, she saw right through me. She understood my sadness. I was in disbelief. I was told that she was terminally ill, but I certainly could not believe it. She certainly did not look it. Lydia was a picture of health.
