Baca's Funeral Chapels - Las Cruces Obituary

In Loving Memory of LYDIA ANN GLOVIER, 54

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lydia Ann Glovier, who entered eternal rest on October 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 8, 1970, in El Paso, TX, Lydia’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, boundless love, and joyful spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

Lydia was deeply devoted to her faith and to serving others. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did, from leading Bible studies for women in correctional facilities to serving as Chaplain in the Christian Motorcyclists Association. She lived out her faith through her actions, always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer words of comfort in times of need. Lydia will be remembered for her incredible generosity, her infectious sense of humor, and her steadfast presence in the lives of those she loved.

Lydia is survived by her beloved husband, David Glovier; her father, Tomas Reyna (Maria); her sisters, Martha Farber (Mike), Bertha Gonzales (Frank), and Renée Thomas (Joshua); her brother, Tomas Reyna II; her nephew, Anthony Gonzales; and her nieces, Lena Farber, Jessica Farber, and Aleena Gonzales; Stepchildren Rebekah Glovier, Elijah Glovier, and Joshua Glovier. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Reyna; her sister, Tammy Reyna, and stepchildren, Elizabeth Glovier and Jonathan Glovier.

A celebration of Lydia’s life will take place on October 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heart for the World Church, 1606 S. Valley Drive, Las Cruces, NM where we will gather to honor her life, her faith, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

Lydia, you were one of the most loving, generous people I have ever known. My heart hurts that our last communication wasn't in person. I feel blessed that I was given the chance to meet you. My heartfelt condolences to your family, friends and co-workers from MMC. I have no doubt that you were told well done, good and faithful servant by our Lord when you arrived in heaven.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. You were a light on this Earth, that will be dearly missed Lydia!

Linda and I got to meet you several years ago as we were good friends with Dave originally. Your smile and always a great personality showed thru. Yes, we had many good times along with dinners at our favorite place. Even though we have moved from NM to a different state, your life still rings true. You're in Heaven now meeting personally with Jesus and the Father! Till then, we all look forward to do the same.
