Not sure what to say?

Hello Fleming family. Tanis (Frymire) Haviland here. So sorry to hear of your dad's passing in September. My dad (Walter) passed a year ago December 27th 2021. I have many, many fond memories of your dad. Not only was he dad's best friend in those Prince George years on the airport but he helped my husband Bill get a job teaching in Prince George when he was principal! The most famous line your dad said to my dad when they were on the committee for the Airport social group was " to heck...

Mr. Fleming was an awesome principal. My sister and I attended Ron Brent and Mr. Fleming was always involved and helpful. For our immigrant parents, he always made the extra effort to make sure they understood what was happening at school from an academic standpoint and cultural environment. This carried through to all the teachers as well. At one point, I had the unfortunate situation where I was getting beat up/attacked every day after school. Mr. Fleming stepped and would drive us...

A classy man who became my friend after we stopped to say hello while walking the White Rock promenade and pier. 20 years ago? I was 16 years his junior. I could tell by his stature he'd been in the military. The RCAF like my dad. Lyle wore an expressive that showed the wisdom of a lot of living, a twinkle in his eye and a sense of humour displayed in his smiles. I kind of looked at my walking friend as a hero.I never missed a call to Lyle Remembrance Day. I was a fan and patted...

I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Fleming was my principal at KGV. I have very fond memories of him.

Mr Fleming was my Grade 7 teacher and principal at Hixon Elementary. He was one of the best teachers I ever had. He shared his experiences with his students and was a living example to me that the best teachers are ones who go out into the world first before coming back to the classroom. I never forgot his kindness and encouragement. My sincere condolences to his family.

Lyle Fleming was an amazing principal to work with during the first 11 years of my teaching career. His accomplishments as an administrator were many. He knew every one of the 500 plus students by name and also knew much about their family background. He recognized the many contributions of his staff and treated us all with fairness and respect. Upon the death of one great teacher, (Ron Brent) Lyle was instrumental in having the school renamed in his honour. He saw the need for...

Mr. Fleming was a Giant of a Man in Height and in Kindness. I was a Custodian at Ron Brent School and he Treated everyone with Great Respect. Great Man.

Condolences to Lyle Fleming's family. I had Mr. Fleming as a teacher in South Fort George Elementary many years ago now. I have never forgotten him as he was one of the best teachers I had going through the school system. May he rest in peace. John Ondrik
