Lyle Rahorn

On December 9, 2020, our father was finally reunited with our mom, Bernice, in heaven. He lived a long and fulfilling 93 years and will be sorely missed by us all. Lyle Alvin Rahorn was born October 21, 1927 in Beloit, Wisconsin. He was the oldest of four children. He moved to Arizona with his wife and five kids in January of 1966. He loved to play golf and bridge until his vision became too impaired for him to see the ball and cards. An engineer in the aerospace industry, our dad retired in 1988 from Garrett Corporation, which is now Honeywell. He loved his family, and enjoyed seeing his grandkids and great grandkids. He and mom traveled many places outside the US to visit their son, who was in the Air Force, and his family. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Bill) Borders, Cindy (Dennis) Mindnich, Ron (Heather) Rahorn, and Mark (Sheila) Rahorn; his sister Gloria (Ted) Norder, his sister in law Mary Rahorn; and 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children. He also has many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, his son Brian, his brothers Ronald and Richard, and his parents. We will be delaying a celebration of life until sometime in 2021 due to coronavirus. We want to thank Linda, Rod, and Hospice of the Valley for the great care that they gave our dad, aka Pa, and Pops.
