SHROYER, LYMAN L. of Conway, AR, formerly of Waterford, Birmingham and Detroit; born in Warsaw, IN and passed January 13, 2008 at age 93. Beloved father to Marilyn (Leslie) Hays of Novi, Connie (Kenneth) LaBenne of Troy and William (Ellen) Shroyer of Conway, AR. Also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Edith, sister Lillian and brother Robert. Lyman retired as President of Michigan Lead Battery Company after 36 years of service. During WWII, the military requested Lyman’s expertise as a civilian to train Navy personnel in turret gunnery at the Alameda Naval Air School. He was a proud member of Masonic Fraternity Lodge 484 for nearly 70 years, and High-12. He was Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America. Lyman was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Waterford.
Friends may visit at the Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home, Clarkston Thursday
