Not sure what to say?

Lynda and I met when I was a transplant to Florida from WA.in 96
I was invited to a get together for FAs who were part of an Ad Litem
Group. Linda tried to convince me I'd love Tampa , this group, and flying out of Detroit . Guns definitely was a convincing Woman, but alas I didn't transfer , and ended back in Seattle.
We'd run into each other in NARITA and go enjoy a glass of wine with others. She was at my retirement going away in NARITA Dec. 14.
Sadly we only saw each other...

I met Lynda when I first started flying in 78' on our beloved 747. As a brand new Flight Attendant I was totally lost on that ship. Guns took me under her wing and taught me how to work the galley ( hardest position on entire aircraft). She said learn this well and you will always be comfortable on this ship! I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR FRIENDSHIP, YOUR LAUGHTER AND YOUR PROFESSIONALISM, GUNS. WE SUFFERED THROUGH POST-MERGER TRAINING TOGETHER THANKS TO A BOTTLE OF WINE YOU PRODUCED BACK AT THE HOTEL. YOU WILL ALWAYS STAY IN MY HEART, OLD FRIEND. FLY SAFELY HOME.

We have never laughed harder than when we were in your company, Guns. Fly safe. Rest in Peace. You are one in a million.

Lynda & Mike Heggen hosting my Last Trip party in NRT

Lynda & Sabrina Newton at My Last trip party in NRT

I was lucky to have met Lynda shortly after I was hired in 1973. She was already a force on the airline.
We had some great trips together, especially some 2-3 day layovers in HNL in the early 2000's.
I was also Extremely Lucky to have her on My Last Trip in November 2012. She was THE BEST CHASER EVER!! She brought a beautiful Gold Tiara & Sash for me to celebrate with. She and Mike Heggen put on 2 Retirement Parties for me in NRT, One after we came in from DTW, then another one...

I knew Linda many years ago. I also am a flight Attendant, former Northwest/ Delta. Guns was always a force to be reconned with. Our Chicago base family will live forever in all of our hearts and Linda was a leader in the Chicago base. GOD bless you and your family, Linda. My prayers go out to you. Always, De Vere Von Dross
