Not sure what to say?

I met Mr Chapman in 1965 when I became friends with his daughter Dianne. He always had a smile on his face and always made me laugh. His imitation of Jerry Lewis was pirceless: "Hey Ladies" and his silly run. I am so glad I got the opportunity of visiting with him and Mrs. Chapman in early April. They always made me feel welcome when ever I stopped by for a visit. Since my family moved away from New ORLEANS years ago every time I was in town-I tried my hardest to stop by for a little...

I met Lynn in 1974 at Aurora when we both began playing tennis. Shortly thereafter we got a group together and played six sets each and every Tuesday & Thursday night, weather premitting. I remember that when the weather was questionable I would ask him if we were going to play tonight, his response was "do Brown Bears mess in the woods?" In other words absolutely. His humor was legendary not necessarily meant to be funny but very clever. Once when we were playing together Lynn called a ball...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He was a great and fun guy to be around and play tennis with!A great neighbor!

Muriel,

I'm so sorry for your loss, and our loss too. Lynn was my favorite joke teller. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. I'll miss him dearly.

What a shock! Sue & I were in England visiting family when we got an e mail from Glenda. So many great memories of Lynn were connected to tennis, especially our years together on Aurora's USTA Senior team. The thing I'll remember most, however, was how much he disliked LSU & how much he admired Texas A&M! Strange for a guy from South Louisiana, heehee! He was so proud of his grand daughter who just started at A&M a year ago. He always kept me posted on how she was doing there. We will...

I will never forget the fun we had with Lynn, riding in our van to a Tournament in Lafayette. He always was quick to laugh and love. He gave my son, Johnny, a Hershey Kisses silver magnet. Johnny cherished that magnet all of his life. I have it in my drawer at work, and evertime I look at it I think of Lynn. We love Ya'll--John, Sharyn, Beth, Johnny and Jake

I can still see Lynn playing tennis with the Aurora Ladies Wednesday Fun Group. He loved his tennis, he loved the ladies, and he loved to have fun. I will remember him for his "Joy of Life" and his ability to make people laugh.

Thanks for the memories Lynn.

Oh how we'll miss Lynn. He had been our friend for years...since we first met him. We have many memories of our get togethers but one in particular stands out. We were playing in a tennis tournament in Jackson, Ms. They served barbecue ribs for dinner. We looked over at Lynn & he had barbecue sauce from one ear to the other & just a grinning. I went over to take a picture of him & he wanted a kiss (which he didn't get)
We enjoyed many Wednesdays of Fun Tennis with him on the court. ...

I do not have a favorite time with Lynn; they were all great. You had a great time and always left laughing. I receive a thousand jokes on my email every year, and the last couple of years, I would send Lynn the ones that I thought were deserving of his humor. I looked forward to the replies where he would send his GOOD ONE, Al message. It was a one on one correspondence that I looked forward to. I will truly miss him.
