I met Lynn in 1969 when we both started working for the SLOCounty Office of Education. We remained friends when our work paths changed. Memories span over 50 years! I think of her often and miss our chatty visits. She was so happy the last time I saw her. Gary, I am so sorry you lost her so soon.

I was so fortunate to know Lynn as I followed my college and career path. She was an inspiration, always encouraging me to grow professionally. Her laughter, her sense of humor and her delight in her work and her play made her a unique role model for me. I always felt she was truly interested in my success.

What a wonderfully, loving and kind lady. Accomplished just doesn’t quite say it, but your life was more than impressive, and to top it off, you found great loves twice! Once with Alec and one with my Dad. Pretty awesome. I will certainly miss you Lynn. You and my Dad found each other at the exact, perfect moment, and shared an amazing love and best friendship which was clear to see. Loving you was easy, as I’m sure everyone who knew you felt the same. Always with a smile and a kind word. We are all better people, to have known you, and I will miss you dearly.

Without Lynn, I wouldn't have discovered my career path. She hired me for training in the Lindamood-Bell Program at Cuesta, which evolved into a life-long career as an audiologist. I had forgotten about that connection, but am reflecting on it now with gratitude, and remembering her kindness, encouragement, her laugh and warm smile.
