Lynn Heyne “Lindsey” Guess Sr., 74, a veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who served in the Pacific during World War II, retired Vice-President of Gaskey Construction Corporation, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 19, 2000. Visitation took place on Wednesday, June 21, 2000, 6:30 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft, Houston. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, June 22, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Msg. Leroy Braden. Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, 2 p.m., at Wharton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231-4596 or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
