St. Albans

Lynn H. Vautier, age 60, died at her home Wednesday morning, September 3, 2008, after a courageous 18 year affliction with cancer that Lynn claimed "It will never get the best of me." Lynn was surrounded by her loving family at the home she shared with her daughter Gail and her family. Lynn was born in Barton January 7, 1948 daughter of State Police Commander Henry "Red" and Hilda (Foster) Vautier. After graduating from High School, Lynn was employed at General Electric and later became the general manager of The Wagon Wheel on Route 104, in St. Albans. Lynn enjoyed several trips to Florida, a European trip that included Ireland and several other travels. She was always concerned about others and was the primary contact for several oncology and nephrology patients for the past several years.

Lynn loved her family and especially enjoyed playing video games with her grandchildren. She was talented in picture painting, cards and always had time for her animals. She loved riding horses and grooming her animals, especially her canine friend Sasha.

She is survived by her daughter Gail and her husband Donald Bannister of St. Albans, her son Todd and his wife Jenifer Blais of Dunedin, Fla., four grandchildren Jessica and Ciara Bannister, Adam and Joshua Blais, her sisters Patricia Vautier and her partner John Ahern of The Villages, Fla., Lesley and her husband Gregory Fisher of Virginia Beach, Va., brothers John and his wife Virginia Vautier of New Haven, Alan and his wife Suzette Vautier of Blandford, Mass., several nieces and nephews. Lynn was predeceased by her father Red in 1996, her mother Hilda in 1983, brother Michael in 2004 and nephew Scott Fisher in 1970.

Grateful appreciation is extended by all her loved ones to her caregivers, Dr. Marie Wood, Dr. Charles Hulse, Dr. Debra Rubin and all the nurses and caregivers that so lovingly helped Lynn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, at 11:00 A. M. in the Brady & Levesque Chapel. At Lynn’s request, please do not wear dark or formal clothing to her services. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be at the convenience of her family. My prayers are with you and your family.

Pat and Leslie,

Years ago when we were growing up I spent a lot of time with you girls and your family...There were many good times with all of you and your parents...Lynn was such a fun loving person and her own person which made her unique. She will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her...Please know that you are in my thoughts....

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

She was a beautiful person, with a strong will and the power to fight. I will always remember her that way. Celebrate her life, she touched so many of us. My thoughts are with you all.

To the Vautier family. Even though life has taken all of us down a different path, we still remember the warmth and love of your family when we visited you in the 'duplex' on So. Main Street. Our thoughts and prayers are will you and your family at this time.
