On August 10, 2020 at 4:42pm Lyonel Paul Semien departed this life at the age of 70 at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, LA  He was born September 21, 1949, to the late Beatrice and Lawrence Semien, Sr. in Sulphur, LA.  He worked at PPG Industries for almost 30 years.


He leaves to mourn his wife,Trudy Y. Semien of 16 years and five children, Tommeka Semien, Kimberly Semien-James, Ray Francois, Jr., Waiskesha Eaglin (Dominque), and Emily Francois; one brother, Burnel Semien, Sr. (Gloria) of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Shirley Andrus (Ignatius) of Lake Charles, LA and Carolyn Marshall of Lake Charles, LA;  eight grandchildren, Ja’Len D. James, Jarden A. James, Kayla C. Semien, Alexis E. DeVille, Alexandra I. DeVille, Dominque Eaglin, Jr., Arianna Eaglin and Reyghan Eaglin; three great grandchildren, Aadisyn J. Sam, Maddox J. Sam and Eden G. Semien; one aunt, Margaret Semien and one uncle, Shelton Semien, Sr.(Louvenia).


He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lawrence Semien, Sr. and Beatrice Hardy Semien, one brother, Lawrence Semien, Jr. and his Godparents, Hazel DeVille, Agnes Hardy, and Lucian Hardy, Sr.


Visitation will be August 20, 2020 at King’s Funeral Home at 9:00 am and Funeral Services at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery under the direction of King’s Funeral Home.
