Sister M. John Bosco

Sister John Bosco was my first grade teacher in 1957. She taught me respect and love.

I knew Sr. John from her time in Southwest Virginia. An angel on earth and now an angel in heaven. She defined Christianity by her love for people. I would give anything for one more conversation with her. Fly high Sister.

I feel very privileged to have Sister John as my Aunt and adopted God Mother. You see my God parents died when I was very young and as Sister John always did she worried about me not having any around so she adopted me as her God child. Wow! Sister John has been an inspiration to me my entire life. As my aunt (my dad - John's sister)she was always interested in both our physical and spiritual needs. She would leave notes of encouragement when she visited me and took a brief nap on my bed. She prayed with me to God to send me a baby when I had been praying for 5 years, and within a month I was pregnant with Justin. I had the distinct honor of knowing Sr John Bosco for her entire professional life that she shared with God and all of us. What a joyous and wonderous woman to have known! She was such a beautiful person in the name of God and I thank the Schmidt's for inviting me into their lives to share their wonderful family. I love you all, and you're in our prayers.

You will never be forgotten for your acts of kindness that you displayed as you made daily trips to our home during Bill’s illness. Your faithfulness was an inspiration and brought us a source of comfort and strength. Without you and your many visits, we couldn’t have coped. You are a true servant of God.
