I was one of Dr. Hilker's first deliveries in 1946 and he was one of the best people I ever knew. He trained my current Dr. John Scanlon. He did a great job. He will be missed by many.

Dr. Hilker was our family physician for years. My parents adored and respected him. One of the memorable stories were when I was born. Dr. Hilker mentioned to my mother, "Janie? This kids' shoulders may be too broad, I may have to break his collar bone to get him out!?!?" as my mother was on the table, she yelled "Mark, if you break his collar bone, I'm gonna break your arm!" Dr. Hilker laughed so hard, he agreed and the story lives on in our family! The Gifford's thank you for the memories...

Our family loved Dr. Hilker. He delivered my twin brother and I back in 1961 and then my own daughter in 1987. He was a very caring person who was also a very talented doctor. My parents Ed and Vera Bannie were patients of his when he worked with Dr. Roy too until he retired. Our thoughts and prayers. Colleen and Peter Zwach

I remember Dr Hilker from the days he worked With Dr Roy and then again, when I spoke with him at Aspen Medical in Bandana square. Great Doctor and a very funny man. God Bless you all.
