Not sure what to say?

Joan was my nurse practitioner all during my tenure with Dr. Walter Kirker, and I followed her as my go-to doctor for years to come, at another practice in Lemoyne and then in Carlisle. She retired, but I have so many fond memories of her - she was always smiling, genuinely concerned about her patients, and had a remarkable gift of making me feel good! What a wonderful lady she was, and I am so very sorry to read of her passing. May she rest in peace, God love her!

I was a brand new nurse practitioner in 1993 in the office of Dr. Virginia Hall. Joan became my mentor and she was knowledgeable, gentle and kind. Thank you for your guidance and generosity, Joan. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I got to know Joan as a patient of Dr Kirker. My first experience with a nurse practitioner and one I so appreciated both as a patient receiving excellent care from Joan and as a fine example and role model as I later pursued nursing as a career and calling. Joan"s influence and care indeed a blessing on the many lives she touched as a nurse and beautiful life she lived.

Joan was indeed a pioneer, an inspiration and a mentor to so many Nurse Practitioners, especially in her outreach to migrant workers, the poor and the downtrodden. I remember her quite fondly in my early years as a Nurse Practitioner in the mid-90's. She gave me many a word of encouragement as I began my career of helping others. Rest well, Joan, you have earned it. Thank you for the mercies you extended to so many and for being a wonderful role model.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

I remember you mom (and dad) from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Camp Shickellemy so many years ago.... So sorry for your loss.
