Sister M. Maurice Wodarski

Myname is JoAnn Sigwart ofPort Washington, Wisconsin. Dear Sister Maurice always called me by the nickname my parents, Kenneth and Betty Benore gave me. I was always known to her as Joey.

Sister cared for my parents in their home for many years. She was such a very special lady and a true friend to me. I will miss her very much. Whenever we came home to Toledo, we always visited her. I had last talked to her before Christmas.

was a classmate of mine at Nativity School.
We graduated together in 1949. Sister organized many mini-reunions with the other
classmates for several years. We had so much fun recalling the funny things we did when we
were in grade school. Sister was so active,
we couldn't keep up with her. She will be
truly missed!

Sister Maurice will be dearly missed. I enjoyed saying hello and chatting at the Saturday Mass at St Hyacinth Church.
I especially enjoyed talking with Sister at the Toledo VA Clinic. She so loved working with all the Veterans. Heaven is being blessed with her. John Spitler

I send my prayers and sympathy to all of the Sylvania Franciscans. Sr. Maurice was my 7th grade teacher at St. Jude in Toledo, OH. We also had her in Gr. 8 for Social Studies. I remember we had to memorize parts of the Constitution of the State of Ohio in Ohio History Class and then say say those parts aloud for her in order to get credit for the class!!!
