Not sure what to say?

This is a late entry, but I just discovered that Dr. Cason passed away. I have such nice memories of going to her office as a child in the 60s/70s and seeing her Dalmatians and looking out the window at Peacock Park. May she rest in eternal peace.

Tonight at dinner my 96 year old Mom asked if I remembered Dr. Cason. Upon google, we learned of her death. Both Mom and I have warm memories. Mom's was of me hiding behind her in fear of a shot. But my memory is of looking forward to the sweet water drink (polio vaccine?). Dr Cason was our Dr. for over 10 years. I'm sorry we didn't get the chance to connect and let her know how much we appreciated her. Our thoughts go out to her family.

My condolences on your loss may God's words at Act 24:15 bring you comfort

Dr. Cason kept me and my siblings healthy, and our mother sane, during the early 60's. We traveled from Miramar to see her in Coconut Grove, and I will always remember climbing those stairs to her office, where together with her loyal Nurse Bratt, Dr. Cason would gently but matter-of-factly determine what the course of treatment would be. I'm in my late 50s now, and still think of her fondly whenever I go to the Grove. May her soul rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Dr. Cason was my pediatrician as a child in the 70's& 80's in Coral Gables Fla.May god bless her and her family..

My mother was a nurse at Variety Children's Hospital and Dr Cason was our family pediatrician in the 1950s. Mom kept all our childhood medical records including this 1956 receipt from Dr. Cason's office for the Salk vaccine. Dr. Cason was a pioneer for the cause of women in the field of medicine. May she rest in peace.

How fortunate I was that 50 years ago I was referred to Dr. Cason for my son that was very fearful of doctors. in minutes she won him over starting with her famous handshake.
God created man and then he created Dr. Cason to keep our children happy and healthy. Now she can rest in his arms.
Much love, Robbie and Evelyn Williams

She was our beloved pediatrician and good friend to our young Weintraub family, growing up in South Florida. I have so many fond memories of Dr. Cason and Ruthie Taylor. What a great and inspiring woman! How many kids can grow up with fond memories of going to the doctor?! She remained my good friend and was there to cheer my graduation from medical school. She was a great inspiration to me and to countless other children and young families in a Miami that is now so changed. We love you Dr....
