Coach Brackett was always an inspiration to those of us who played for him at Etowah High.

It saddens me to hear of cousin Marlin's passing. He came to my father Delmus' funeral last October. He was a great human being and will be missed by everyone. I'm sure he's with my grandmother, Alma Brackett Hill.

Coach Brackett was an extraordinary individual. Loved him as a coach and more importantly for the man he was.
