To The Michael Family,
Please accept my most sincere sympathy upon Helen's passing. I had known your folks since the '60's when I joined the Gary Kiwanis Club and always felt that they were special people. When my Dad died in 1974, Floyd sort of took me under his wing and I have always been very appreciative for it. My dear friend Helen you are missed. For 40 years we had our late night marathon conversations. On weekends there was always dinner and bridge either at Helen and Mike's or our house.

There are so many memories. Helen was a friend, sister and mother rolled into one. I am grateful to have had her in my life and my children's lives for all these years. Helen, you made a difference.

Helen (and Mike) held an incredibly special place in the lives of many people. To me, they were nearly surrogate grandparents. Helen would always slip me $20 after one of my college football games and whisper "Don't tell you father". The stories are endless, as are my memories.

I have so many wonderful memories of both Helen and Mike. I still make Helen's cream cheese and sprout sandwiches on whole grain and think of her every time I make one. I hope you find comfort in knowing Helen was a very special person who touched the lives of many. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
