Not sure what to say?

Mom, I miss you very much, there`s not a day that goes by that I don`t remember you, are one of your stories. I`m sure your telling one of them now. Watch over us and we will be looking up at you. Love you!!!! David.

This was taken when she came to visit when I was a kid.

At 99 she was the same sharp, loving, positive woman that I have always known. She used to say that she talked too much, actually I could listen to her talk for hours, I often did. Everything she had to say always had a positive spin. She didn't avoid the unpleasant things in life, she simply didn't dwell on them. She was surrounded by loving family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She founded a dynasty of love. Her amazing family is her true legacy to the world.
I miss...

Mom,
There are no words for how much I miss you! I will never forget all the dinners we shared, Bingo parties when I was a kid, Kathleen and I running from the front to back door (You had a special name for us for doing that :)and of course your little "tuttle" which I now have and will always treasure. You were the only grandparent I ever knew, but oh how you had more love in you to make up for the ones I didn't know! If I were to know only one grandparent, I'm so glad it was you! I...

Mom when I think of you I think of metropolitan ice cream and the bubble Christmas ornaments on your tree. I'm sure Heaven is doing alot of catching up.

Mike

Years ago, Mom McCarthy welcomed me with "Call me 'Mom,' you're family now," and she has proved that she meant it every day since. Our Saturday morning phone conversations have been the highlight of my week.

Not long ago, she said to me, "Sometimes I talk to myself now. But I'm pretty interesting to talk to." Truer words were never spoken.

I miss you already, Mom. Always will.

Lynn

Mrs. McCarthy:
What a great lady was she.
I used to run around with her son Russel in the 50's.
Can't say I ever met a nicer lady.

Bless her,

I can remember when I was a little girl thinking that Mrs. McCarthy, our neighbor, always looked beautiful. She would walk up Mellwood and always had on high heels and looked so pretty. She was always so friendly and sweet. Russell and Johnny were friends with my Dad Charles Walcott Sr., and my brothers Charles & Allen Walcott. My sympathy to the family.

Mom, Thanks for your infectious laughter and kindness. Love you, Russ Jr. and family (San Diego)
