Mac Walton

Mac was very good man, a great friend, with tremendous heart, intelligent, resourceful, and always an overpowering smile.

I will miss Mr. Walton.

My deepest sympathy to family and close friends.

I have miles to walk before I sleep…

And I pray the Lord my feet to keep…

As I let go of work, of the need for money, of all the accoutrements that have guided my day to day pursuits…

I embrace death like an old drinkin’ buddy, who… between the lather of the shared brew and the slurred words that carry little meaning… offers himself as himself…

Death wraps her arms around me, like a lover, not trying to take but to give…

And give she...

Indeed Mr. Walton was a gentle man who touched the lives of all who crossed his path. The impact and inspiration he made in many lives will not be forgotten. Thank you, Mac, for being a man for the community. My prayers go out to the family; may you rest in God's comfort.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mac's passing. When I first started supervising domestic abuse cases in 1996, Mac was the light in the storm for many who had failed at other programming. We will miss the person, but his legacy will live on.

Mac - your gentle spirit and kind ways will remain with me forever - it was a pleasure working with you and more importantly, knowing you - the hard part is over - Rejoice with the Lord! Love,

Mac Walton touched my life in a time I really needed someone there to inspire me – He offered his words of encouragement and told me to believe – I made it through my storm. God touched Mac to be inspiration to all he cross paths with. I will miss him dearly for he was truly a good friend and supporter – he would never allow you to give up – he believed in humanity as well taught you to believe – I will keep him in my daily life – God Bless all that have cross paths with him – he is always...
