Not sure what to say?

Oh my, I will sorely miss Mac's smile at the NAEA Conferences. He was such a nurturing leader to so many. Art education has lost a supreme advocate for the importance of quality arts eduction programs in our schools. The Goodwin family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Goodwin taught me in high school, and made a lifelong impact on me as an artist and person. I know there must be 100s and 1000s of former students who feel the same.

To the Goodwin family my prayers and condolences to you. May God comfort you and bind your heart in this time of your grief and loss.

Thank you to "Mac" for all you did for arts in South Carolina. I had the pleasure of meeting with him early in my career. His efforts will have lasting effects for future generations. Prayers for family.

He was a mentor of mine and will be missed by many others. He enriched the lives of thousands through his leadership. I am grateful he entered my life through a common interest in arts education and concern for liberty and justice for all.

I will miss Mac and his wisdom annually at NAEA. A great friend and mentor. My condolences and prayers to Juanita and family.

Mac was one of the absolute best arts education administrators across this country. He set the bar high for art educators and took steps to make us more visible, accountable, responsible and viewed as professionals. His tenure with the National Art Education Association helped make our standards a national model. Moreover, Mac gave tireless leadership, support, and respect to diversity issues and African American artists. His absence will be a deep void that...

My thoughts and prayers are with thefamily.
