Macie Laverne Jones 74 of Roanoke passed away Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born to the late Bennie F. and Lessie M. Whitfield. She was also preceded in death by 7 siblings. She was employed with HSN from which she retired after many years. Survivors include her 2 brothers, Rev. Kirby Whitfield, Sr. (Dona) of Roanoke and Larry D. Whitfield of Goldsboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, 11:00AM at the Pigg River Community Center, 2410 S. Main Street, Rocky, Mt., VA. Interment will be held in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may call at Serenity Thursday, 2-8PM for viewing.
