It is with our deepest sympathy that we extend our condolences during this time of grief. We will miss shouting "hey Pastor" during our weekly run ins. May the God of all comfort provide the church and family strength as you journey through this time. Ahmad & DeLita

My deepest condolences goes to the family of Pastor Elder. I pray that God comforts you all during this time and gives you peace that suppresses all of your understanding. I remember when I was younger I attended Open Door with my grandma . Pastor Elder was always so kind to me ! He would always encourage me to sing in the choir and I even remember singing at one of his pastor's anniversary. The go to song he would request is "I don't mind waiting" . I will always remember him and his church...

My deepest condolences to the family of Reverend Mack Elder, he was a kind, thoughtful leader. Great teacher of the word of God, he will truly be missed, may the Lord give you strength and comfort during this very difficult time I

I knew Mack well as he grew up in Cumberland. I taught school at Cumberland High from 1965-1970. He was a joy to be around, and please accept my condolences on his passing. Remember Mack with great fondness.

So sorry for your loss. Prayers for the family I will miss my friend growing up me and Margaret lived with him and Pat they treated us like their own. RIH Mack

Rest well, classmate. Your words in the Kingdom indeed speak for you! God gets the glory...

Rev Elder was gracious enough to officiate at our daughter´s funeral in August 2009. He came to our house to get a sense of who our daughter was and to pray with us. Rev Elder was truly a generous, compassionate man. He will always be remembered and missed by so many. RIP

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Rev. Elder. I have fond memories of him from Shiloh Baptist Church. He was always kind and friendly. Wishing comfort and peace to all who are grieving during this difficult time.
