Mack not only talked the talk but he walked the walk. He was an inspiring person to be around and also he was such a positive person. I vividly remember the trip to DC and New York city with your family. We were very close friends for a long time, but our interests diverged-- he loved hunting and fishing, but I preferred tennis. It has been said that every person has a niche and all persons need to find theirs. Selling insurance was his.

I learned too late to convey my condolences personally. But I had the honor of helping produce Mac's stories, and frankly it was a lot of discounted work that if had not been for his good heart and blessed intentions, i would have passed. But it was such a pleasure working with him, and his stories were so much the framework of his life, it was a true joy to be a part of it. I only regret we never got to go fishing together.

Rebecca, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I didn't know him very well but every time I saw him he had a big smile on his face. He will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. We had just seen Mack Vann about three weeks go and I talked with him and hugged his neck. Him and my dad was very good friends. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him. REST IN PEACE MACK VANN.
