Just learned that Madeline has died. She was a gifted lesbian. I will miss her. May she rest in power.

Our condolences Wendy and to Madeline's extended family. She is part of so many of our stories - as inspiration, mentor, co-worker, legend. One memory of her I will always have is Madeline blessing/dedicating/clearing the space for our first outdoor Pride Celebration on the Erie County Historical Society steps in 1991. I believe she also sang, and told the story of the Stonewall riots to all the assembled brave women and men, gay and lesbian, allies and family and friends. May her memory be a...

Madeline became a true sister and mentor to me back in 1972 at the Women's Studies College. She helped to shape my feminist consciousness while guiding me in ways that radically changed my life ... especially during a time when my life really needed changing!
