Madeline Isabelle (Boyles) Elder, 97, of Concord, NC passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.

Ms. Elder was born June 27, 1917 in Charlotte, NC to the late James Meek Boyles and the late Texa Mae Boyles.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Dr. Dennis Elder, as well as five brothers, Charlie Boyles, Elwin Boyles, Hubert Boyles, Jimmie Boyles and William Boyles.

Survivors include her brother Lacy Boyles, Sr. of Harrisburg, NC. She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

She and her husband Dennis served as faithful ministers of The Foursquare Church. They pastored several churches including New Hope Worship Center of Concord, NC. She was a woman of faith whose life was marked by prayer and intercession. A special thank you to the staff of Universal Healthcare who so lovingly cared for her.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at New Hope Worship Center. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm officiated by Rev. Dale Jenkins, Dr. Tom Snipes and Rev. Larry Morgan. Burial will take place at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Worship Center, 452 Brookwood Ave. NE, Concord, NC 28025.

My Aunt Madeline was a loving person and my father's only sister. I always enjoyed visiting her and Uncle Dennis (her husband). A wonderful christian and role model to many.
