I met Madelyn on the tennis court at Lynmar Tennis Club in the 80's.She was about 7 months pregnant and continued to play in to her 9th month. That baby was moved to and fro and sideways, and never did she flinch. She would break out in that beautiful smile, and say "I am OK". When she moved to Germany, I bought her blue chevy . A couple of days ago I was sorting through a random pile of photos I discovered under a random stuff of stuff on my desk. Between a hodgepodge of pictures of the kids, vacations and our new puppy (who is now eleven) I came across a photo of Madelyn from one of our annual film festival parties. I had just presented her with a desk lamp constructed out of an old 35mm film reel as a token of our thanks for all of her hard work that year on film selection.
