Madgie Sue Dell Hammond Hayes

Mrs. Madgie Sue Dell Hammond Hayes, aged 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Loris, South Carolina, on the evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 22, 1941, in Horry County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Hammond and Evia Small Hammond.

Madgie was a devoted wife to the late Stacy Charles Hayes and a cherished mother and grandmother. She dedicated over 20 years of her life to working at Pilliod Furniture, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Her family fondly remembers her as a loving homemaker who delighted in preparing delicious meals and creating cherished memories.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Hayes Boyd and her husband, Carroll, of Loris; her son, Stacy Mitchell Hayes of Mullins; her grandson, Holden Evander Bullock and his wife, Elizabeth, along with Elizabeth’s daughter, Harper, of Loris; her sister, Geneva Fowler and her husband, Dean, of Loris; and her nieces, Lisa and Charlotte. She also leaves behind her step-grandson, Elliott Boyd and his wife, Allyson, and their children, Sarah, Willow, and Martha May.

Madgie was predeceased by her three brothers, S.W. Hammond, Lonnie Hammond, and Tommy Hammond.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Sunday, November 2, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Funeral Chapel of Cox-Collins, officiated by Reverend Lloyd Williamson. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
