BOYER, Mae Ives, age 92, of Richmond, passed away March 12, 2008, and is now with the Lord and her husband, W. Clyde Boyer, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Joan B. Holland, and her husband, John E. Holland Sr.; son, W.C. "Tim" Boyer Jr.; grandchildren, Rebecca-Mae Gooch and husband, Steven, Joan "Dodie" Holland Thomas, John E. Holland Jr. and wife, Caroline M. Holland, Nicole A. Boyer, Tawnya Boyer and Gabriel Boyer; great-grandchildren, Katherine Mae Kearney, Joan Claire Kearney, Stephen Patrick Kearney, Rebecca Michelle Kearney, W. Olen Thomas III, John E. Holland III, Madison Gwyn Holland, Clyde Huston Thomas and Harley Max Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thanks to all her caregivers at Brighton Gardens and Hospice Community Care. Mae was a member of the Eastern Star and Williamsburg United Methodist Church. She was an avid football and baseball fan, who loved her cat Dale, flowers, reading and crossword puzzles. Mae was a woman who loved life and her family to the fullest. She will be remembered for her many "Heart Gifts" of thoughtfulness, kindness, and unconditional love. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 24, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond. Please join us for a celebration of her life at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1101 Horsepen Road, Richmond, Virginia 23229.
