Not sure what to say?

I have such memories of Mae when she and my mother worked to help make things better for Matt and my brother, Patrick in their school setting. After my mom died in 2002, she drove by every Saturday to make sure Patrick made it to bowling!
My sincerest condolences to the McElroy family and all of Mae's friends. She will never be forgotten as a lovely woman, devoted to her family, who made life better for those around her.

God love you for that beautiful life story of your mom. We too had the joy of knowing Mike, Mae & Matt through Special Olympics. Your dad was so funny and I admired your mom for her sweetness and her beauty. She should have been a model. We are deeply saddened, but are comforted in knowing that the Lord has called her home where she will be with her loved ones. May our Lord wrap His loving arms around you all and fill you with His peace.

My condolences to the entire family. I too have many fond memories from days gone by. May had a wonderful spirit.

My best to all, Don Rowell.

I have had the honor of caring for Mae and Matt (and even Mike) over 20 years.. and she never came to an appointment without sharing pictures of her family! Such a wonderful woman! She was a joy to know, she will be missed.

What a beautifully written obituary. It captures the essence of your mother. We will miss waving to her when she was sitting on the front porch with Matt, always with a smile as big as her heart.

We were saddened to learn of Mae's passing - we too have many fond memories of times together thru Special Olympics, the ARC, Columbia ... the list goes on. She was a wonderful woman who brought into this world a wonderful family. God bless you all.

Mae's passing affects each and every member of the entire Kerwin Family. We have been fortunate and blessed to be a part of Mae's extended family, and each and every member of the McElroy Family is dear to us. Mae's passing affects us all, and it also reminds us of the long-term ties that keep our families so close.

We are thinking of you all.

Me Kealohapau'ole,
Brad and all of the Kaimuki Kerwins

My condolences to Mae's family. She was an inspiration to me as a young teacher. Her expectations for Matt helped me to develop higher outcomes for the students. May God comfort you and give you peace in the this time of mourning.
