Not sure what to say?

Dr. Mahin Hassibi built a public library in Arak, a small town in Iran where I grew up in. It was built in a deprived region of Arak, as she wished. I was a 14 year old boy when I went to that library for the first time. I read many books there and I got interested in studying science. I am now going to start studying PhD of Physics, thanks to Hassibi library. It has been really one of the most influential places in my life. I never met Dr. Hassibi, but she really changed my life by building...

These days I review the sad memories of the last year.I still feel the deep pain of her loss, and still share all my moments with her. She is a part of my soul.I miss her so much.

I miss my friend, my dearest friend Mahin. She was my supervisor a year ahead of me at Metropolitan Hospital. She was one of the smartest and most noble persons I ever knew. I am so proud to have been close to her. I called her from Toronto every week once I learned what was happening. I am so sad to have lost this shining light. What a privilege to have been close for so many years! Words cannot desribe the feeling of loss.

To Helen and Feri, her New York family, you know I share...

A Celbration Memorial Service will be held for Mahin on Wednesday evening May 26th.

Dr. Hassibi truly cared about others. She past on her ideas and knowlege to others. Dr. Hassibi accomplished a lot in her life. She was a very kind person. I new her since I was a child. GOD always be with Dr. Hassibi. I miss you.

I am very happy that I know Dr. Hassibi. I like to contact with you. Please give me your email.

I am very glad I knew Mahin Hassibi and wish I could have known her better. Her very presence communicated warmth and caring, and her thoughtfulness touched many. Her writings in the pages of On the Issues Magazine - from discussions of "gender apartheid" in Iran to new scientific understandings of gender - contributed valuable and thought-provoking insights. She will be greatly missed.

Dr. Hassibi was a very special person to me. She was the person who allowed me to live a good life.
She was brilliant, wise and one of the most caring and giving people that I have ever known.
I will miss her and always remember her.

I cannot count myself among the "friends" of Mahin Hassibi, but I have seen how she has reached out, and been there for my own friend, over many years.

Mahin's generosity with her time was matched only by her extraordinary caring, sagacity and meticulous attention to detail when it mattered most.

I have watched her as she helped my friend with the founding and gradual empowerment of a little lost girl, now given the chance to grow into her full and dynamic potential.
