Dana and I wanted to express our sympathy to the two of you in the loss of Maia. I am sure your feeling of loss is great. Rest assured that you did everything humanly possible for her. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to take care of Maia. I will never forget that precious face, she is truly an angel. She will always hold a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Elias, I just had the opportunity to meet you recently and then we learned this news. Our hearts are very sad for your loss. From the photo, Maia radiates beauty and joy and we feel certain that our Father was with her through this all.

I have spent months praying for Maia's recovery to good health, but the Lord needs that beautiful little girl to sit on his lap and keep him company. I am a parent that has been at MUSC. My daughter had surgery back in Feb. and I remember Maia..She was so beautiful..My prayers are with you. May God be with you.

Our hearts break for you as parents. I can only imagine the pain that you must feel. Yet, we are thankful that this world is not all there is. I rejoice that you will be united with Maia again, and that we will be able to meet her as well since we did not have a chance to see her here on earth. You will be in your prayers.
