Not sure what to say?

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS.
OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.
MAIJA WAS A LOVELY LADY. SHE WILL BE MISSED.
GOD BLESS,
FRAN AND PETE STRAUSS

I lived next door to Maija and Jorma when I lived in seven Hills. I always enjoyed Maija because she was so pleasant and had a great sense of humor.
I remember when Jorma finished his pool in the back yard, we decided to throw our wifes in the pool when they came home from work on a hot summer day. Boy was Maija a fighter, but a good sport.
Jorma: Jeanette and I would like to express our sincere symphathies to you and your family for your loss. Take care of each other.

The whole Isoniemi family were always great neighbors to us, and I have a lot of great memories from growing up with them. I injured my knee in the fall of 1984 and the doctors recommended a weight training program for rehab. Maija insisted that I use the nice exercise equipment in their basement that was left over from one of Jorma's new year's resolutions (I made that up - knowing Jorma he probably still uses it).

I remember walking in through the garage door and chatting in...

I met Mary (Maija) many years ago when I worked at Parma Hospital. She was our IV therapist. As I got to know her, I found we shared a similar Finnish heritage (my parents were half Finnish). We exchanged many stories and she and I would talk about our Finnish customs and our Finnish relatives. I have never met a finer nurse. She was a lovely lovely woman. For certain, Heaven has a beautiful new angel.

I also am one of the Price kids. I have many dear memories of Maija as I was growing up -- her famous bread with crunchy sugar crystals on top, the many neighborhood parties she hosted, opening the swimming pool to the neighborhood kids, and later, sewing two receiving blankets together to wrap a gift for my baby shower. She always welcomed us at her door, any time of the day.

Meeting the Isoniemis was my first introduction to another culture different from my own. From them I...

I'm one of the Price kids who grew up across the street from the Isoniemi's. Mrs. "I" was a nurse at Parma hospital when I got my appendix out at age 10 or 11. I was so relieved when the nurse who came in to give me an IV was her! Nice work Maija - it barely hurt.

You were always warm and hospitable to us, and I loved to spend time at your house. I'm sad to know that you suffered so much at the end of your life. I guess I comfort myself by hoping that one day you'll have...

Maija, has been such a good friend and neighbor to us. I'll never forget the first time I met her. It was in the spring of 1978, shortly after we moved directly accross the street from the Isoneimis. Some of our kids were playing on a top soil pile in Maia's driveway and throwing the dirt around. I went over to bring them home and apologize to Maia. She said "Let them be kids and play". She went back into the house and brought out some bolla bread (our kids called it "bulla") and gave...

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mary was such a wonderful person. I had seen her on many different occasions but mostly at Kaiser, when my Mom- Rita Ellsworth was one of her cancer patients. She always said Mary had such a big heart torward her patients. Through the 8 1/2 years with my Mom battling Melanoma cancer she became Mary's friend. One of the lst times I met her was at Normandy's Christmas craft fair and she was so happy. That's how I will...

I grew up across the street from the Isoniemi famliy. My siblings and I have been discussing all the great things we remember about Maija... she made the best boller and we could smell it from across the street! I also remember her bologna sandwiches and frozen cookie dough. Thank you Maija for so many great childhood memories!! We will miss you. - suzi
