General Gourley was a special mentor to me during the infancy of my military career. We hold special memories of him and wish your family the very best during this sad time. His influence is be greatly missed.

So saddened to hear of the passing of one of the Army's finest. General Gourley was a great soldier and leader, and he and Mrs. Gourley were an inspiration to all of us who served with them.

I hope you may find some comfort in your wonderful memories. All of my memories of time spent with your parents make me smile. I admired and loved MG Gourley. My thoughts are with you all during this very sad time.

Sharma and I were saddened to learn of the passing of MG Gourley. It was my distinct pleasure to serve with him and to be blessed by his leadership. Our love and prayers are with his family and friends.

The Army has lost a great soldier and Joan and I have lost a dear friend. May God comfort all of you and give you peace.

We will miss Gen. Gourley and extend our condolences to his family. We enjoyed having him as our guest speaker! He had so much to offer and was a joy to talk to.

We will really miss Uncle Bill. He will be remembered as such a warm, gregarious, lovable, man. He was always so gracious, so fun to talk to, so interested in what you were doing. Gen. Gourley was a special friend and mentor. He amazed me every day with his vigor and advocacy for the men and women who serve in the military. I so thoroughly enjoyed knowing him and working with him. The community owes him much. I only hope that I can serve the public half as well as he did.
