Not sure what to say?

Jean, you likely don't remember me, but I was in Civil Air Patrol back in 1971 when you were too, we had meetings at the JD Middle School and I remember you from then, what a beautiful story - that of your parents - may she rest in peace along with your father. John Giroux Syracuse, NY

I had such wonderful childhood memories of both your mom and dad. Watching in awe as your Mom could touch her hands flat on the floor without bending her knees, enjoyed her delicious Japanese cuisine and having her teach me mahjong. Your dad was amazing and I was always in awe that he could play chess blindfolded. Jeannie, I am so sorry for the loss of both of your parents but know that they both made a huge impact on a younger me. Wishing you peace and strength as you adjust to their absence.

So sorry for the loss of your Mother. Praying for your comfort and peace, and your memories to be sweet.

Dear Jean and all others related to Makie Guay, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Judy, Fumiko, and I cannot believe that Makie went so soon. I was looking forward to talking to her this week. It was very disappointing that I could not hear her voice again. I have a couple of beautiful stained glasses made by her, one when she started the art, and the other one after she has become very skillful. I cherish them both and every time I look at them, I would think about...

A wonderful legacy to share with your children. A beautiful obituary. Our thoughts are with all of you during this time.

My Mother and I are very sorry to hear of Makia´s passing. I took my Mom to visit with her a few times before I left in end of October and they really enjoyed their time together. It was wonderful to hear them talk and share some laughs together. Since I don't speak Japanese I can only imagine the memories they talked about. Our deep sympathy to you and your family.
