I'll never forget my first 'Mac meeting' to discuss the merits of
hedging FCE Bank branch equity. He sat his iron sleeve of Scottish
armor on the table and smiled. The message was clear. He was a Legend. And, he knew how to spot talent & opportunities to stretch our thinking for great business.

Mac was one of the warmest and most generous people I knew. His lust for life was palpable and he truly loved his family. I will miss our occasional gatherings immensely, and the annual Napa trip will never be the same. Until we toast again dear friend.

I had the privilege of working with Mac directly and indirectly for more than half of my 32 years with Ford. He was a great teacher, mentor, and innovator. I know of no one who worked harder or more effectively on Ford's behalf.

My condolences to the family.

Mac’s quick wit, generosity, boundless energy, wine and knowledge of history
made him a consummate man of distinction. Just knowing Mac raised your game in life. I will miss him.
