Not sure what to say?

Malcolm has certainly been a positive influence in the lives of Gayle and Henry Flautt two of his "retreads" We took adult pottery at Delta. His legacy will remain at Delta State, in Cleveland and the entire state.

Mr. Norwood was an inspiration to me at Murrah (and also Bailey, if I remember correctly) and so encouraged me I graduated with a BFA from Newcomb in 1962. I fondly remember a bus trip that the art students took to the Delgado Museum in New Orleans. Great teacher and great man. Tippy Reimers Lyell

I attended Jackson Murrah its first two years and Mr. Norwood was one of three men teaching the arts. Along with Leland Byler,Coral Music, and John (Jack)Jones, band he contributed greatly to the lives of all of us lucky to have enjoyed a kind of deep south Camelot swept away by the late '60's. I had not seen him since 1961 or so, so his image in my memory has him in his youth just starting a wonderful career.

Simply speaking, he was one of those significant people that come along...

my thoughts and prayers are with all of the family----what fun times at Murrah in art class, not to mention the plays that we were in---a terrific teacher that i will always admire and respect---thanks for the memories

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

When I think back to my days at Murrah High School and the teachers who meant so much to me, Mr. Norwood is always at the top. His encouragement influenced my decision to continue studies in art which, in turn, enriched my life. I will always be grateful to him. My deepest sympathy to his family on the passing of a wonderful man. Ruth Wilson Albrecht

I remeber Mr. Norwood very fondly and had the privelege of having him as my art teacher for 2 years at Murrah.BJAston
