Not sure what to say?

I knew Malcolm and Phoebe for several years as a postdoctoral fellow in the Oktay Sinanoglu group at Yale. I respected him for his intense devotion to his goals. I liked him for his jovial personality. Developments took as to opposite ends of the country, but it was my constant wish over the years for my wife and I to have spent more time with Malcolm and Phoebe. We didn't, but with faith, we may. S. Russell LaPaglia

Wow. I was honored to have Malcolm and Phoebe as my parents-in-law. Malcolm was among the smartest and most generous people I ever had the privilege of knowing. Phoebe was his perfect foil -- witty, gorgeous, and the perfect Nana. Their love to each other and their family was boundless.

To the whole Orloff family my deepest condolences on losing your Dad.
My name is Brian and I maintained his sprinkler system for past 20 years.
It was just now that I learned of his passing and I was very saddened, and wanted to at least leave a note for his family.take care and god bless all of you.
with deepest regret,

Malcolm was a great friend. He enjoyed his work and the people it brought him into contact with. He created fun even in difficult times. I will always remember him with fondness.
A real loss for friends and family. My sympathies go out to all of you.

Our condolences on the passing of your father and grandfather and our great friend Malcolm Orloff.

Many of us remember Malcolm from the time when he was the CEO of Sasol's North American wax partner, Moore & Munger. We will always remember his astuteness in business, his tireless pursuit of the best deal, his boundless energy when others were flagging, his huge sense of humour and his great love of people and laughter. Malcolm was a tremendous story teller and a great mentor and coach...

Malcolm and I have not met very often, but when we met, be it in Hamburg or in the U.S., it was always great fun. I loved his special humor! To one of his last e-mails he attached the song "Those were the days", sung by Mary Hopkin. This was the first and only time he made my cry. I will not forget him.
Barbara Strauch, Hamburg/Germany

Malcolm was my dearest and closest male friend. I became his assistant in 1989 and we developed a wonderful and special friendship. I miss him terribly. My deepest sympathy to Amy & John, Lisa, David & Lydia and the grandgirls. Malcolm will always be loved by me.
