He was a great teacher and a true gentleman. He introduced me to Feldman´s music and also Burr Van Nostrand´s music. He accepted me as a composition student when no one else would. Very grateful for his guidance and generosity. Rather than teach technique he had an open mind and said "once your intentions are clear, techniques can be developed." I repeated that to my students many times. Deepest condolences to Barbara and the entire family.RIP Mac
