Not sure what to say?

I am sorry for the tardiness of this message. But I just learned of Malcolm's passing the other day. Malcolm had a profound influence on my life. My family lived right next door to Malcolm and his family in Detroit on Berkshire Street. My dad and Malcom were friends going back to high school. Malcolm became a part of my life when my younger brother passed away at the age of 10. Malcolm took me under his wing and started taking me to church at Knox Presbyterian Church in Detroit. It...

I have known Malcolm my entire 66 years of life. He made such an impact on me. He was like a second father. A kind, spiritual and gentle person full of life and stories. Doesn´t the week go by that I literally stop and think about him in someway. You will be missed my friend.

Malcolm has been a very good friend to me through so many years. I knew Marion from her work with Intervarsity in MA and met Malcolm when I came to Ann Arbor to work at Logos Bookstore. What wonderful partners they always have been to each other! Malcolm was always welcoming and generous. He shared his love of God's creation. He shared his responses to books that he was reading and music that he loved. He loved meeting people and getting to know each person. His bronzes expressed so...

Single Memorial Tree

Adding to my brief comment of January 5, I met Malcolm in 2023 as he attended our biography reading club at our assisted living facility. He was as delightful and ebullient as his photograph here suggests. I expressed special admiration for one of his sculptures, which he and Marion called "The Frenchman", but which I have renamed "Old Man with Bird"; it is a poignant expression of affection between two of nature's creatures, in keeping with Malcolm's gentle philosophy. In accordance with...

Malcolm was a part of my life from the age of 4. He was a friend to my aunt and uncle (Joe and Evelyn Schenk) who owned Fireside Inn. He worked there for many years becoming a part of its history. You never fully understand how someone affects your life when you are young but as the years have gone by I can say he opened my mind and heart to Christ always encouraging my faith with his own. He referred to Marian as (A Peach ). He was blessed to find his soul mate in her. God blessed me with...

Uncle Malcolm & Aunt Marion and family reunion at Fireside Inn

C Malcolm Powers My uncle Huge influence on my life. His faith came to life in his art. His faith was immediately shared in his very personality. Many times he quoted Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Thanks Unc for helping me deliver papers in the rain. Thanks Unc for the snake Thanks Unc for the alligator Thanks Unc for the iguana Thanks...
